I had two options for a weekend trip: Lagos, Portugal for beaches and partying, or hiking through the Spanish countryside with a local, knowledgeable guide who knew everything from what type of nuts each tree produces to the traditions of a hidden Spanish pueblo. I chose the latter, and it was one of the better decisions I made this summer.

Just wanted to say thanks for a brilliant holiday experience climbing Mulhacen. Javier is a fantastic guide we really enjoyed his company and felt very safe at all times whilst doing the climb. It was lovely to meet you all as well. Did you get to ski off the top the following day?

Hey Richard! It was great to meet you on Mulhacen! I will never forget the wonderful atmosphere, your bivouac shelter, your dogs, the icy cold, the tea from your friends that saved us, the light, the view of that morning! Now I am back in Switzerland but I already miss the Sierra Nevada!

Well-organized, accommodating, friendly, and experienced guide service. My friend and I did the two-day Mulhacen winter trip. Were lucky to have cooperative weather and a successful ascent with great views but even if we hadn't I still would have felt that the trip was well worth it. Our guide was familiar with several routes and involved us in deciding which option would be best for us.
